How To Draw Simple Christmas Tree
I've noticed that at that place are two areas of life in which nearly people are quick to deny their abilities: drawing and dancing. For whatsoever reason, as we grow upward, we brainstorm to doubt our talents in these areas, then we cease trying. But it doesn't take to be that style! It'southward amazing what you tin draw with merely a few very basic shapes and lines. Today, I want to wait at six easy means to draw a Christmas tree that crave no existent artistic skills at all. Even young kids tin can enjoy making these diverse trees and using them to decorate cards, gift tags, and more. Grab a few markers (I suggest greenish and brownish) and bring together me; I promise it's easier than you recollect!
one. TRIPLE TRIANGLES
This is one of the about traditional looking means to describe a pine tree, and if y'all tin depict a triangle, you've got it made. But stack 3 triangles on top of each other to form the trunk of the tree.
Yous tin can modify the shape and appearance of the tree by choosing to overlap the triangles a lot or non much at all, every bit shown in the examples below. For a realistic look, each triangle should be slightly larger than the 1 to a higher place information technology.
Colour in your triangles and add together a tiny brown rectangle for the torso. If you want your Christmas tree to accept decorations, you tin add a star on top, garland, ornaments, and anything else you like.
2. ZIG ZAG TREE
This next manner is a chip more than abstract. Rather than beingness a solid, colored-in shape, the proposition of a tree is created by a line that goes back and forth, increasing in width from elevation to lesser. To create information technology, kickoff at the top, and make a small-scale sideways "v." So, go back in the opposite management and brand some other. Continue creating this zig zag line, letting each row be a little longer than the ane above it.
When you are happy with the size of your tree, finish it off with a dark-brown rectangle at the lesser for the trunk.
3. Modernistic CURVES
In one case again, this tree is more of a proposition of the tree shape than a solid image. Starting at the meridian, draw a curve that resembles a rounded sideways "v." This is similar to how we started the last tree, but nosotros don't want a sharp point, and we want to selection up the marker before continuing. Next, y'all'll create the same shape, just slightly larger, below the commencement one.
Continue the same pattern until y'all have four-5 rows of these curved lines, each one larger than the one to a higher place it. This volition create the idea of a triangle. For the body, I drew a rectangle that'due south slightly angled on top to match the shape of the lines.
iv. LOTS OF LINES
This tree couldn't exist easier! Just accept a fine tip dark-green marker and draw a series of horizontal lines that commencement out curt and go longer as you move down the newspaper. Let some of the lines overlap and don't worry about lining them all up perfectly. Real trees are imperfect, so yours tin be too!
After yous have a set of lines that looks something like a triangle, draw a vertical brown line going through them all and extending downward past the bottom for the torso.
v. SCALLOPED LAYERS
To form this festive tree, showtime past drawing an upside downwards "5" shape with iii little bumps across the bottom. Then, brand the next layer by drawing a line with 4 bumps/scallops. Proceed moving down the tree, creating scalloped layers that get larger each time.
I like to color in this tree with a lighter dark-green than my outline so you can really see the scalloped lines. A brown rectangle at the bottom makes a bang-up trunk. Like the offset tree, this one can be "decorated" by drawing a topper and ornaments if you lot like.
6. NEGATIVE SPACE DESIGNS
This is probably my favorite of all the means to draw a Christmas tree. It uses the thought of negative space, which means using the areas without color to create something visually interesting. To create it, you simply begin with a light-green triangle. So, add any pattern y'all similar in white. There are several means to practice this. I created my illustrations on the iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil in the app Procreate. This allows me to actually draw with my eraser tool. And then, I turned on the eraser and created the designs by getting rid of the green in the areas where I wanted my blueprint to be. If you're working with existent markers and paper, yous can add your detailing with a white gel pen, or yous can sketch your tree with pencil first, marking where the design goes. And so, color all the parts of the triangle green except for the areas you want to remain white.
Any style y'all do it, these trees are fabulous and fun! All they need is a trunk and they're ready to decorate cards, gifts, dwelling decor, or anything else you have in heed for the holidays. I chose a triangle for the trunk, but you can use whatever shape you want.
Come across? I told you these were easy! If you tin can draw triangles, lines, and rectangles, you can create whatsoever of these six tree styles. Which one is your favorite way to describe a Christmas tree? Brand sure to pin this post for later so you can come back and practice, or to share with a friend.
